God Answers Prayer.

Africa is a place where different “bugs” attack in different ways. Our first weeks in DRC gave us an insight into how painful that can be for our children. The boys, being younger, seemed to be the target. Terry had a couple rough days, next it hit Rob, with a vengeance. Why do the worst pains seem to hit kids in the night? Rob was in pain crying about how much his tummy hurt. Not wanting to wake the mission Doctor I implored The Great Physician, to bring relief to this precious little boy. I knelt by Robbie’s bed, placed my hands on his tummy and whispered my prayer, in Jesus name, that Robbie would be OK. At the “Amen” Robbie said, “I think I need to go to the bathroom.” After the session in the bathroom I tucked him back into bed and with a sigh, he said, “Mommy, my tummy doesn’t hurt anymore.” As I crawled back into bed I wept tears of gratitude for answered prayer. God is so good!
